American History for Young Students I
What fun! An incredibly rich smorgasbord of books has been written for children on the topic of American history! And youngsters are so anxious to meet Pocahontas and the Pilgrims, cowboys and Indians, George Washington and Daniel Boone!
Yet, children of this age seek the meaning of American history too. Usually, they are just presented with a few famous people and events, but TruthQuest History includes commentary which subtly presents the thread of God's hand in American history in a much deeper and broader exploration of our past.

The AJTL Binder-Builder is like a fancy lapbook. It provides loads of mini-booklets for your child to cut out, fold, glue, and record learned information. We show you how to store your mini-booklets so that at the end of the study, your child has a beautiful notebook binder to show friends and family. (For Grades 1 and up.)
A Journey Through Learning has teamed up with TruthQuest History to bring your child an exciting, hands-on enhancement of the TruthQuest History program. For each TruthQuest History book, you will have the option for your child to do an AJTL Binder-Builder, Map/Timeline/Report Package, and/or Notebooking Pages.

AJTL Notebooking Pages
Our Notebooking Pages are another way for your child to record learned information. You will find a notebooking page for most topics in the TruthQuest History program. Simply read about the topic of study, then have your child express their learning on the notebook page. Once the notebook is completed, your child can share his/her new-found knowledge with family and friends, as well as have a personal keepsake! You can look back over the year to see your child's growth in language usage, penmanship, and creativity.

Our Map/Timeline/Report Package provides everything you need to help your child learn when and where events happened: maps, reproducible timeline, timeline markers, mini-timeline cards, report ideas, and more. In addition to creating a timeline with markers, you can, for example, spread the mini-timeline cards across the living-room floor and challenge your student to put them in chronological order. The cards can also be used as flashcards for families on the go, and even as a matching game! This package also includes many historical figures to color, maps to mark, plenty of helpful report forms (Soldier report, country report, etc.), and lesson-planning forms for Mom! (For grades 1 and up.)
